Hola! Exciting things this week...hmm, well our Gospel Principles Class was full! We had to get more chairs from another room! We were expecting more investigators in church than those who actually came...but 5 came from our part, and the other 2 elders of the ward had some come as well. Our ward is on fire for missionary work, really, we`re finding a ton of people. We`ve got 5 baptismal dates right now...3 for 18th of February, and 2 for March 25th. We set another yesterday for 25th of March also, with an AWESOME girl we found yesterday named Suzanna. We also are teaching a family who we are going to invite to be baptized tonight. We just knock and they let us in, we teach, The Spirit is with all of us, and the people actually sincerely commit to read and pray. It`s been awesome. A time of my mission completely unlike any time before. 

Here`s a cool thought that Elder Packer, from the Area Presidency, gave us this week at a training meeting we had. He pretty much gave us the process of learning, and the process of becoming. The process of Testimony and and what point that testimony becomes a conversion. 

1 Hear it

2 Remember it

3 Understand it

4 Do it

5 Be it

He said as we invite people to do things, if they DON`T do it, then there must have been some kind of error in that process. Did they hear it? If they heard it, did they remember it? If they remembered it, are they really understanding the importance of it? and so on. He says we have to locate where it is that the issue is, at what part of the chain are things not happening. And THAT is where we teach. If steps 1 through 3 are accomplished, the people we teach will gain a testimony if what we share. If steps 4 and 5 are also accomplished, the people we teach will become converted to the Gospel. 

One more thought.

President advises us to study for our investigators. We look at the investigators who we are going to teach that day, the principles that we need to help them understand, and we study those topics. Kind of like Manna I suppose. I do that with Preach My Gospel, but with the Book of Mormon, I read chronologically, also including in my prayer that in my studies I will find what my investigators need that day. It always works.
